The effect of gender change on personal status issues

Abstract

Gender is something that man does not choose،, in fact it is a wisdom from Almighty God who created man into two sexes ‘male and female’ and there is no a third sex of human being, and assigned each of them duties that differ from the other, in accordance with the nature of each of them. In jurisprudence, the gender is recognized at the moment birth. In the medical science, there are several criteria for distinguishing between the two genders, this includes chromosomes and hormones. In some people, sexual disorders may occur ، so they develop a feeling that they belong to the opposite sex, so they have change their gender by taking hormones of the opposite sex as well as undergoing surgical operation. Therefore, such people become deformed human beings neither males nor females، this is what is known as the process of gender change, and this effects personal status matters.
